She came from the bustling and busy London, she achived a lot, because Amy Winehouse was a music miracle. Discovered in 2003 soon she became a world famous queen of the black music. Indeed, with her’s unique voice with characteristic hoarseness, Amy got quickly millions of fans.
Her edgy style was influenced mainly by 40’s and 50’s and it was Winehouse’s label. Tight tops, scarfs tucked in huge buns, very strong and dark eyeliner, even the scanty, sexy floral dresses made her the real pin-up girl. Just add to that the cute ballerina pumps and bags with cherries. Winehouse was spotted by her favourite label Fred Perry and few years ago she created her very own clothing line for them.
Last Saturday, Amy has been found dead in her Camden apartament. – Amy Winehouse was an artist of immense proportions and I am deeply saddened to learn of her tragic passing. She was an extraordinary musician with a rare intuition as a vocalist and I am truly devastated that her exceptional talent has come to such an early end.
She was a lovely and intelligent person and when we recorded together she gave a soulful and extraordinary performance. I was honored to have the opportunity to sing with her. She was just 27, had a lot of achivements but also couple of utter defeats, but still we’d like to remember her as a talented artist.
